Hi, I’m Suzanne Bailey,
My career spans 20 years beginning in Sydney for Westfield Shopping Centres. Within 18 months I relocated Los Angeles in the capacity of Marketing Assistant at Westside Pavilion.
After Westside Pavilion I worked & travelled the world for 3 years, landing some fabulous jobs in London across various industries: Banking, Finance, Advertising & Fashion.
Returning to Sydney I continued working in advertising focusing on sales. After a few successful years selling advertising space for outdoor media and speciality magazines I moved across to recruitment, eventually specialising in high volume call centre recruitment at Smalls Recruitment. There I built a highly successful portfolio and was their highest biller for a number of quarters.
Taking a break from recruitment due to motherhood, I was offered the position of National Advertising Manager at Out & About with Kids, a family holiday magazine. Helping relaunch the magazine and introducing a website and other online sales platforms, I increased sales by 85%.
In 2010 we moved to Perth and I returned to recruitment in the capacity of a professional Project Recruiter, I’ve been privileged to work across many sectors such as Telecommunications, IT, Mining, Health Care, Hospitality & Transport.
Stepping back to recruitment was easy, obviously I needed to learn about mining and high volume blue collar recruitment, fortunately, the industry hadn’t changed too much but the way recruitment was being conducted had. With the introduction of social media, LinkedIn and many more job sites, I found people weren’t applying for the right job but just clicking send and hoping for the best.
In 2016 The Interview Guide was an idea and in 2017 it’s become a reality as there is a distinct lack of interview training taught at a grass roots level. My aim is to bring back the personal, face to face touch and I will get you interview ready.
